ns-3-leo: Evaluation Tool for Satellite Swarm Communication Protocols

We present ns-3-leo , a module for the discrete event network simulator xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">ns-3 which includes models mobility and link characteristics of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite mega-constellations. The initial goal has been to create simulation environment in existing routing protocols from Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) Mobile Ad-hoc (MANET) areas can be evaluated these types networks. To show its capabilities, we performed simulations planned constellations Starlink Telesat based on publicly available parameters. Through Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector Routing (AODV), were able gain valuable insights into unique challenges presented by It is unlikely that ad-hoc using distance-vector or flooding used broadband internet connectivity alternative methods handling large-scale networks are needed.
